/ The Brief
A seasonal premium under festival pressure.
Lock&Lock wanted a custom ceramic grill plate as the CNY premium — not a catalog reorder, an object designed for the festival’s gifting moment.
The constraint was the calendar. Anything that didn’t land in warehouses before CNY peak was effectively undeliverable.
How we built it
We designed the plate form and surface treatment in-house, then sourced through a ceramic manufacturer with kiln capacity for our SKU volume on our timeline.
Food-contact certification was non-negotiable, and we ran the testing in parallel with tooling so compliance didn’t push the schedule.
The pallets cleared customs and hit the warehouse with margin to spare before the CNY retail window opened.
